Welcome to the Under 21 Info site

The Under 21 Jam, hosted by Burbank's, is a one of a kind Opportunity for young adults and young children alike, to share their talents with the ready-to-listen public. John Redell,  one of the leaders of the "Blues in the Schools" (BITS) program, a program focusing on keeping the Blues alive in the youth of the tristate area, decided to begin the jam because there were a lot of adult jams that weren't aimed toward people under 21. The Jam was hosted by John for a few months and didn't really get off the ground for a couple of weeks. But sure enough, the word did get out and slowly people started flocking from as far as eastern Indiana to perform at the Jam. Equipment for the jam is provided by, Buddy Rogers and Backline Superstars.

Jam So Far

Everyone who has performed at the Jam has been superb. As Midge put it, "During every 3 song set I have never wished they would just end. There have been some times where i even think they should have charged". There have been many incredible performances at the Under 21 Jam, most memorable in my opinion being Noah's performance of Johhny B. Goode. Every week there are new things popping out, Jamel's band shows up sometimes and always has a great set of songs. "Strange On Display", the teen band that is now hosting the second Sunday of every month, does an incredible job at performing every song they play. And of course, "John Redell and the Company He Keeps" is as always, amazing. Ryan Hickey  has showed up a couple of times and every time he just blows people away. And a very special thanks to the countless other young people who have shown that age does not matter when it comes to music.

Always Updating Photos

I would like this site to be very active in advertising the Under 21 jam and also keeping people informed on whats happening with the under 21 jam, so ever changing photos is a must, Pat, who i consider the Cincy Blues Society Photographer is very, very helpful at taking photos at the under 21 whenever she comes. I would ask that if you happen to have any photos, please feel free to send them to me at this email address.

Thanks and lets help keep the Blues alive
